Purva Aerocity, Chikkajala: one project or three names?

Purva Aerocity, Chikkajala: One Project or Three Names?

Purva Aerocity is the name you’ll see most often for a Puravankara high-rise in Chikkajala, but it isn’t the only one. The same site turns up as Purva Codename Infinity and as Purva Grand Hills, with figures that almost match. We compared what each name claims, checked all three against the Karnataka RERA list, and set out how to tell whether Purva Aerocity is one project or three.

Key takeaways

  • Purva Aerocity, Purva Codename Infinity and Purva Grand Hills are all described as a Puravankara high-rise of about 300 homes in Chikkajala
  • All three are reported as 2, 3 and 3.5 BHK of roughly 1,200 to 2,100 sq ft. That’s a strong sign they’re one project
  • None of the three names is on the Karnataka RERA list, and there’s no pending application (23 October 2026)
  • Puravankara hasn’t published any of the names. Prices, towers, floors and possession dates differ by source
  • Puravankara has done this before: Northern Lights was also marketed as Purva Codename Flow and Purva Esplanade
Purva Aerocity, Chikkajala: one project or three names?

Short on time? The comparison table and the RERA section are the two that matter.

Three Names in Chikkajala

Search for a new Puravankara project near the airport and you’ll get three names. Purva Aerocity appears on the most broker sites. Purva Codename Infinity is the codename. Purva Grand Hills shows up less often, usually with the same outline.

All three put the project in Chikkajala, the village on Bellary Road between Bagalur Cross and Doddajala. That’s about 8.6 km from the airport terminals in a straight line, by our measure.

  • Purva Aerocity: the name on most broker microsites
  • Purva Codename Infinity: the pre-launch codename
  • Purva Grand Hills: a third name, used on fewer sites

None of the three appears on Puravankara’s own Bengaluru projects page. Everything about Purva Aerocity today comes from third parties. Our Chikkajala area guide covers the location itself.

What Each Name Claims

Here’s what the sources say under each name, as we read them on 23 October 2026. None of it is from Puravankara.

Purva Aerocity Codename Infinity Grand Hills
Land ~7 acres 7.5 acres Not given
Homes ~300 ~300 to 330 ~300
Towers / floors One tower, 2B+G+21 One or two towers, 2B+G+19 One high-rise
BHK 2, 3, 3.5 2, 3, 3.5 2, 3, 3.5
Sizes ~1,200–2,100 sq ft ~1,190–2,050 sq ft ~1,200–2,100 sq ft
2 BHK price From ₹1.60 Cr ₹60 lakh to ₹1.7 Cr Not given
Possession Dec 2029 2028 to Jan 2029 Not given

The outline lines up almost exactly. The details that change are the ones broker sites tend to guess: floors, prices and dates.

Is Purva Aerocity the Same Project?

Probably, but nobody has confirmed it. The case for one project is strong. Same developer, same village, same scale, same BHK mix and nearly the same size range. It would be odd for Puravankara to plan three 300-home high-rises with identical specs in one village of 2.5 sq km.

The case against is thin. One Purva Aerocity listing gives 1, 2 and 3 BHK and a launch in April 2025, which never happened. That looks like an old page, not a different project.

Our reading: Purva Aerocity, Purva Codename Infinity and Purva Grand Hills are most likely one project at pre-launch, marketed under different names by different brokers. Treat that as a working assumption, not a fact, until Puravankara publishes a name.

The name that counts is the one that will appear on the RERA certificate. Until then, ask any broker which survey number they mean. Two names with one survey number are one project. Our guide to projects renamed before launch explains the rest.

Puravankara Has Done This Before

This isn’t new for Puravankara. Its project at the KIADB Aerospace Park in Bagalur was marketed as Purva Codename Flow and Purva Esplanade before it launched as Northern Lights by Puravankara.

All three names now point to one registration, PRM/KA/RERA/1251/309/PR/120326/008523. But the figures attached to each name still differ. The codename pages still carry different prices and dates from Puravankara’s own.

Earlier name Launch name Registered
Purva Codename Flow / Purva Esplanade Northern Lights by Puravankara 12 Mar 2026
Purva Codename Infinity / Purva Aerocity / Grand Hills Not announced Not registered

Our page on Northern Lights at Bagalur shows how the names and numbers settled. If Purva Aerocity follows the same path, expect a new launch name and a fresh price list.

Purva Aerocity and RERA

On 23 October 2026 we went through all 10,051 entries on the Karnataka RERA project list. There’s no registration and no pending application under Purva Aerocity, Purva Codename Infinity or Purva Grand Hills, from Puravankara or any of its partner entities.

That matters more than it sounds. Puravankara’s recent projects were registered within days of applying: Purva Heritage in 9 days, Northern Lights in 1. No application means Purva Aerocity hasn’t reached that step yet.

The number on broker sites isn’t the project’s. PRM/KA/RERA/1251/446/AG/171021/001317 is quoted for Codename Infinity. It’s an estate agent’s registration, valid 2017 to October 2022. “AG” means agent; a project number has “PR”.

One Purva Aerocity microsite says registration is “under process”. The RERA list doesn’t support that yet. Our guide to buying before RERA registration exists explains what you give up by paying early.

Claims to Check

A few Purva Aerocity claims don’t survive a map or the arithmetic. Check them before they shape your decision.

  • “Airport 5 km”: our straight-line measure from Chikkajala to the terminals is about 8.6 km, and road distance is longer
  • “Hebbal 10 km”: the straight line is about 15.5 km
  • “Near Chikkajala metro station”: that station was dropped from the airport line’s current phase. Bagaluru Cross and Doddajala are on it
  • “RERA approved”: not on the RERA list as of 23 October 2026

The density claim holds up better. If around 300 homes really sit on 7 to 7.5 acres, that’s 40 to 43 homes an acre, which is low for a high-rise. Northern Lights is about 106.

Our post on codename pages carrying stale figures shows why these numbers drift.

What to Do Now

If Purva Aerocity is on your shortlist, you don’t need to rush. There’s no launch, no price list and no registration yet. That gives you time to do it properly.

  1. Register interest if you want, but keep any payment small and fully refundable
  2. Ask for the survey number and the name that will go on the RERA certificate
  3. Check the receipt names the same project as the certificate, once it exists
  4. Wait for a written price on RERA carpet area, with every extra listed
  5. Compare it with registered projects nearby, like Tata Varnam and Sattva City

Before you sign anything, read our guide to what an expression of interest should say. And when a launch name for Purva Aerocity appears, look it up on the RERA portal yourself.

FAQs

Is Purva Aerocity the same as Purva Codename Infinity?

Very likely. Both are described as a Puravankara high-rise of about 300 homes in Chikkajala, in 2, 3 and 3.5 BHK. Puravankara hasn’t confirmed either name.

Where is Purva Aerocity located?

Chikkajala, on Bellary Road (NH 44) between Bagalur Cross and Doddajala, about 8.6 km from the airport terminals in a straight line. No survey number is public.

What is the Purva Aerocity price?

Puravankara hasn’t published one. Broker quotes for a 2 BHK range from ₹60 lakh to ₹1.7 Cr, so none of them is reliable yet.

Is Purva Aerocity RERA approved?

No. On 23 October 2026 it wasn’t on the Karnataka RERA list, and there was no pending application under any of its names.

When is Purva Aerocity possession?

There’s no official date. One microsite says December 2029. The real date will be the one Puravankara files with RERA.

Is Purva Grand Hills a different project?

Probably not. It carries the same developer, village, scale and BHK mix. Ask for the survey number to be sure.

Sources we checked (October 2026): the Karnataka RERA project list and certificates, read 23 October 2026; Puravankara’s Bengaluru project page; broker microsites and portals for the three names, read 23 October 2026 (not linked); and our own listing pages. Distances and density are our own arithmetic.
