Gopanpally, Hyderabad: An Area Guide for Home Buyers (2026)

Gopanpally is one of the most searched names on Hyderabad’s west side, and one of the least clear. Builders on both sides of a district line use the name, so two homes a short walk apart can carry different villages, mandals and even districts on their sale deeds. Here’s what the name really covers, how you get in and out, and what to check before you buy.

Key takeaways

  • “Gopanpally” is a marketing name used on both sides of a district line, so the brochure’s area name isn’t your legal address
  • My Home Akrida and My Home Avali print Tellapur village, Ramachandrapuram mandal, Sangareddy district, PIN 502032
  • Radial Road 30 Extension runs 7.14 km from Gopanpally thanda to Kollur Junction on the ORR
  • There’s no metro in Gopanpally yet; the nearest suburban rail stop is Tellapur MMTS
  • Thousands of homes are being built at once here, so expect years of construction traffic

Gopanpally, Hyderabad: Where It Is

Gopanpally, Hyderabad sits on the city’s western edge, between the Gachibowli–Financial District job belt and the Outer Ring Road at Kollur. To one side is Nallagandla. To the other is Tellapur, which is where several of the big “Gopanpally” projects legally stand.

There’s no Wikipedia article for it. The Financial District article lists it under “See also”, which is about as official as the name gets outside builder brochures. That tells you something: it’s better understood as a stretch of road and a sales label than as one clean locality.

Next door, Nallagandla is in Serilingampally mandal of Ranga Reddy district. Tellapur is in Ramachandrapuram mandal of Sangareddy district. Projects sold under the name fall on either side.

Two Addresses Under One Name

This is the single most useful thing to know about the area. Take two sets of projects that use the same name.

Project How it’s sold Address it prints TG RERA starts with
My Home Akrida Gopanpally–Tellapur Road Tellapur village, Ramachandrapuram mandal, Sangareddy district, 502032 P011
My Home Avali Gopanpally Tellapur village, Ramachandrapuram mandal, Sangareddy district P011
Aparna Moonstone Gopanpally–Gachibowli Aparna Deccan Town (no PIN we’d print) P024
Aparna Sunstone Gopanpally–Gachibowli Aparna Deccan Town (no PIN we’d print) P024

The two Aparna projects carry TG RERA numbers starting P024, the same prefix as the Financial District and Kokapet projects we’ve checked. Aparna’s own FAQ says the design follows “GHMC rules and regulations”. The My Home pair start P011, the prefix we’ve seen on Tellapur projects. That’s our observation from the numbers, not an official map.

Why should a buyer care? Your village, mandal and district decide which Sub-Registrar office registers your deed, which body collects property tax and which guidance value applies. So read the schedule of property in the sale deed, not the area name on the hoarding.

The Gopanpally Pincode Trap

“Gopanpally pincode” is one of the top searches for the area, and it’s where buyers most often go wrong. My Home Akrida’s official address uses 502032, the Tellapur PIN.

We found no official source for a PIN on the Serilingampally side. India Post also lists two branch offices with the name, but they’re in different villages of the same name: one in Sangareddy division and one in Mahabubnagar. A pincode search alone can send you to the wrong Gopanpally entirely.

So use the PIN printed on the builder’s approved plan and RERA registration, and nothing else.

Gopanpally Roads

The road that matters most is Radial Road 30. According to Wikipedia’s list of Hyderabad’s radial roads, the RR 30 Extension runs 7.14 km, four lanes, from Gopanpally thanda to Kollur Junction on the ORR. The main RR 30 runs 8.57 km from HCU Depot to Vattinagulapally.

The Outer Ring Road is a 158 km, eight-lane expressway. Its Narsingi–Patancheru section, which passes Kollur, opened on 14 August 2011. A 14.5 km solar-roofed cycle track runs along it from Narsingi to Kollur.

My Home says Kollur Junction is 2 minutes from Akrida. Its project page puts ORR access at 12 minutes, while its brochure says 10. Builders’ times are off-peak figures, so drive the route at 9 am before you trust either.

Gopanpally Rail and Metro

“Gopanpally nearest railway station” has two answers. For suburban trains it’s Tellapur, on the MMTS; the 6 km Tellapur–R.C. Puram stretch opened on 9 June 2019. My Home puts Tellapur MMTS 5 minutes from Akrida.

For long-distance trains and more MMTS services, it’s Lingampalli station, which is being upgraded under the Amrit Bharat station scheme.

There’s no metro here. The nearest operating ends of the Hyderabad Metro are Miyapur on the Red Line and Raidurg on the Blue Line. Phase 2A plans a Miyapur–Patancheru line and a Raidurg–Kokapet Neopolis line, still waiting for central approval. Neither names a station here, so don’t pay a premium for a metro that isn’t on paper.

Jobs, Schools and Hospitals

The area’s appeal is its distance to work. Aparna says the Wipro campus is 2 minutes from its Deccan Town projects. My Home says the Microsoft, Infosys and Wipro campuses are 18 minutes from Akrida and the Financial District 15. Our Financial District area guide covers that job belt.

Schools and hospitals, all as the builders state them:

Place Builder’s drive time Who says
Meru International School 2 min My Home (Akrida)
Samashti International School 5 min My Home (Akrida)
Glendale and Vista schools 2 min Aparna
Citizens Hospital 10 min My Home (Akrida)
Continental Hospitals 18 min My Home (Akrida)
Financial District 10–15 min My Home (brochure vs page)

A 40-Plus-Floor Belt

This belt is turning into one of Hyderabad’s tallest residential pockets. Wikipedia’s list of tallest buildings in Hyderabad includes My Home Avali’s four towers (47 floors, 158.55 m) and Aparna Moonstone’s eight towers (45 floors, 150.35 m). It also lists Aparna Garnet, a proposed 46-floor project.

My Home Akrida adds twelve towers of G+39 next door. For every project going up here, see our list of new projects in Gopanpally.

The Downsides

Here’s the honest part. By our sum of the builders’ own figures, Akrida (3,780 homes), Aparna Sunstone (3,213) and Aparna Moonstone (2,088) add about 9,000 homes under construction here at once. My Home Sayuk’s 3,780 homes are being handed over beside them. Expect trucks, dust and road work for years.

There’s no metro. And water: Akrida’s spec sheet treats bore-well water in its own plant, so ask every builder what the supply plan is beyond bore wells.

Then there’s the civic split above. Two neighbours may pay property tax to different bodies, and you won’t know which applies to you until you read the deed.

What to Check Before Buying in Gopanpally

  1. Read the village, mandal and district in the draft sale deed and on the TG RERA registration.
  2. Take the PIN from official papers, never from a pincode search.
  3. Ask which body collects property tax and which Sub-Registrar office registers the deed.
  4. Drive to work at peak hour from the site, not from the sales office.
  5. Ask about water beyond the project’s bore wells.
  6. Budget for charges: 5% GST on homes under construction and about 7.5% stamp duty, transfer duty and registration in Telangana. Confirm with the Sub-Registrar.
  7. Pay no more than 10% before a registered agreement for sale.

The area borders Tellapur, and many of its projects share Tellapur’s roads and rail. Our Tellapur area guide covers that side in more detail.

FAQs

Which district is Gopanpally in?

What is the Gopanpally pincode?

My Home Akrida’s official address uses 502032. We found no official PIN for the Serilingampally side, and India Post’s two Gopanpally branches are different villages. Use the PIN on the builder’s approved papers.

What is the nearest railway station to Gopanpally?

Tellapur MMTS station for suburban trains, and Lingampalli station for long-distance trains and more MMTS services.

Is there a metro in Gopanpally?

No. The nearest operating stations are Miyapur and Raidurg. Phase 2A doesn’t name a Gopanpally station and still needs central approval.

Is Wipro near Gopanpally?

Yes. Aparna says Wipro’s campus is 2 minutes from its Deccan Town projects, and My Home puts it 18 minutes from Akrida.

How do you get from Gopanpally to the ORR?

Radial Road 30 Extension runs 7.14 km from the thanda to Kollur Junction on the ORR, according to Wikipedia.

Sources we checked (3 November 2026): My Home’s My Home Akrida page and brochure; Aparna’s Moonstone, Sunstone and Deccan Town project pages; Wikipedia’s articles on Hyderabad’s radial roads, the ORR, MMTS, Lingampalli station, the Hyderabad Metro and the city’s tallest buildings.

Drive times are the builders’ own claims. The homes-under-construction total and the RERA-prefix observation are ours. Telangana charges were checked in October 2026; confirm them with the Sub-Registrar.
